Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need an appointment to come into the store?

No, you do not. We are open to the public seven days a week.

How quick is your turnaround?

Area rugs in stock generally take up to a week. Installation can be done within a few weeks once an order is placed. Anything ordered is dependent on the mill’s availability. If they have stock it can take 10 days to 2 weeks to ship to us.

What is a CFA?
CFA stands for “cutting for approval”. This means the mill would send a dye lot cutting from the exact roll they would use for your order. Nothing would ship without your approval of the CFA. It is recommended for wool orders as dye lots tend to vary.
What is the difference in price between stocked items and items that have to be ordered?

It is always better if we have stock in the store. Anything ordered you automatically get hit with a shipping charge.

Can someone come out to my house and measure?

We offer a free measuring service. We go over everything on site with you and answer all your questions. We do not provide you with the measurements as it is part of the free service we offer.

Do you measure for area rugs?
We typically do not measure for area rugs as it is subjective in what you would like to do. We can suggest but, in the end, it is up to you.
Can I rip up my existing stair runner to stain/fix my stairs and reinstall it after?
Generally, once you rip up your existing runner it does not install the same way. There can be pulls and holes from the previous install that cannot be fixed.
Can you cut down my existing rug?

Depending on the rug type, yes, we can cut it down. Generally, there are two ways to do it. We can send someone to the house to have it cut and fabricated on site. There is a minimum labor fee plus fabrication fee which is done by the total footage of fabrication needed. The other option is for you to drop the rug off to us and we can have it done in our workroom. There is a cut fee associated plus the fabrication fee. We ask you to please clean or have the rug cleaned before bringing it to us. We will not take in a dirty rug.

Do you provide a cleaning service?

No, we do not clean any carpet or rugs. If you reach out to us, we can provide you with the names and numbers of companies we highly recommend.

Can I reserve something in stock?

With a deposit we can hold anything in the store for you. Deposits are 100% refundable or transferable to another item if you decide you would like something else.

How does payment work?
For area rugs we generally take full payment up front. We will not make a rug until we receive payment. For installation, we take 50% deposit to start the order and the day of installation we will take the final payment. The initial deposit allows us to order or reserve the carpet for you and book an installation date depending on stock.
What is your return policy?
For the most part, once it goes out the door it’s final. We do offer samples that you can take or can be sent to your home so you can see how it looks in your space. If there is damage or a flaw in the carpet, we can send someone out to inspect the issue and determine what needs to be done.
How long should my carpet last?

There is no such thing as bulletproof carpet. We can steer you in the proper direction to get the most out of your carpet as best as we can but understand nothing will last forever. We can offer guidance as to what would work best depending on the space.
